There should be an option in the Options Menu (accessed by pressing alpha, if I remember right) that states something like "enable write-back mode for archived programs" or something similar. If it's enabled, then MirageOS unarchives the game/program so it can write to it. If it's disabled, then MirageOS just copies the game into RAM for you to run it.
I could be wrong on that, so anyone feel free to correct me.

The downside of this is if the game causes a reset, you lose it :( |
