smokey622 Probe Posted: 21 Jan 2005 17:37 GMT Total Posts: 5 | I just started trying to download games for my daughter and can get some to work but not other, like Super Mario and Donkey Kong. I have the newest Mirage version and TI Connect. I have a TI 84 Plus Silver Edition. I download the 8XP file and drag it to Connect. For Mario I get "Levels Not Found". Other just have an opening screen but go no further. Do I need other files? I have tried loading these and nothing happens. The files that do not work are showing up under "Archived Files" on the calculator and the other are not. Any ideas? Do I use the 8XP file? Do I need ION and if so where do I get it? I am using TiCalc site and using the game page for 83+ and 84+ for Mirage applications. Do I use Flash or something else? HELP!Thanks,Smokey |
JcCorp Probe Posted: 21 Jan 2005 17:50 GMT Total Posts: Edit | 1: For Mario, you need level files. It doesn't matter whether they are put in the archive memory or the regular mem. Just download them from this site, and put them on the calc like regular progs. Look for the Misc. tab at the top, and click on Super Mario levels. Then you can DL them the same way you do w/ regular programs. 2: Look at the top of the page for each file on it on this site. If it says BASIC, then the game must be run through the prgm menu and it can't be archived. To unarchive things, go to the Memory menu (2nd, then +), choose programs, and then press enter to unarchive it and put it in the regular mem. If it says Assembly, run it like you would run Mario through MirageOS. If it is flash, then run it through the APPS menu. 3: You don't need ION. MirageOS will do fine. |

smokey622 Probe Posted: 21 Jan 2005 21:07 GMT Total Posts: 5 | Thank you, if it is unarchived is it still under the apps button and then go to Mirage and run it there? That is the only way I know how to get to them....through apps and then going to Mirage.
Thank you |
JcCorp Probe Posted: 22 Jan 2005 05:37 GMT Total Posts: Edit | Yep. Mirage can run archived programs. BASIC programs can be run by pressing the PRGM button and choosing the program you want to run, then pressing ENTER. |

You must unzip the programs first, however, and only send the .8xp or .8xg (TI 83/84+ group file) file types to the calculator.
btw, calcman, its Nagel, not negel. Just a small grammar/sp fix |
