noven Probe Posted: 8 Jan 2005 00:04 GMT Total Posts: 3 | This is literally like my first TI calculator and I have never done very much programming on them. I seem to be getting the programming ok so far (I think), but my question is rather stupid and I will probably get laughed at for its sheer stupidity. How do you include a space when display text? I mean I can do it when I type the program in TI connect program editor but there has to be a way to include a space between displayed by using the calculator. Using TI program editor I can just type the space for instance:
Disp "Hello World"
When programming from the calculator I can only get:
Disp "HELLOWORLD"
I was just wondering if there was a way to get the space between hello and world by using the calculator (I want to program away from the computer on occasion). I have a TI-84 + if you need to know. Ok you can get off the floor and stop the laughing, I get the point.

noven Probe Posted: 8 Jan 2005 00:21 GMT Total Posts: 3 | Someone hit me. I think I tried every alpha combo but that. Anyway, thanks for the help and I will go back to the newb corner. :) |
JcCorp Probe Posted: 8 Jan 2005 04:28 GMT Total Posts: Edit | Actually, that wan't as n00bish as I had thought. You did get the programming part right. It was kinda funny though. "Hello World". That's awesome. :) |

There, I hit you. |
Ray Kremer Ultralisk Posted: 10 Jan 2005 11:40 GMT Total Posts: 310 | It's a n00bish question yes, but not as n00bish as the people who ask how to type the comma. I've seen both asked multiple times. |
zedd Ultralisk Posted: 10 Jan 2005 12:46 GMT Total Posts: 428 | well, we all had our own nOOb moments.Right? Hey Jc, I see you got loser on your avatar. It's perfect.

JcCorp Probe Posted: 10 Jan 2005 14:11 GMT Total Posts: Edit | That's it. The "loser" refers to me, not my awesome avatar. If you say one more bad thing about my avatar, I might just lose it. :( |
TI Freak Probe Posted: 11 Jan 2005 07:18 GMT Total Posts: Edit | Bah, don't feel too bad. It took me a week to figure out how to type capital letters on my TI-89. Something about reading a certain manual... |
zedd Ultralisk Posted: 11 Jan 2005 14:16 GMT Total Posts: 428 | OK is it just me or can nobody see Jc's avatar anymore?

Granted, the manual is 200+ page sof a crapload of, well, crap, it still teaches a few important things. Also, if you want to be able to use lowercase letters, dl MirageOS, install it, run it, press alpha to bring up the options menu, go to miscellaneous options, and check the lowercase letters button. |
