Are you batteries fresh? That may have something to do with it, but probably not. I'd try clearing the ram using the memory menu, check your manual for instructions on how to do that. A ram clear will fix 95% of problems on a 83+(and series). |

Edit: I just tested it, and yes, .png files are allowed, as I expect all images files are, including .bmp and .tif, but I haven't tested those last two.
