I downloaded mario for my 84plus silver edition and I can't open it. I also downloaded mirageOS. It is in the apps folder. When I go into the program section and hit enter on Mario and then enter again to open it and error screen comes up that says ERR:ARCHIVED. Also, when I open mirageOS and select mario from the main folder the column on the far right says that it is locked. How do I unlock it and how do I get the program to work.

Thanks.

BASIC flames are for n00bs, you don't want to be a n00b do you? | My other calc is a Porsche.

Thanks, I forgot to install the level that came with it. It works now.
However I have another problem. If I download other levels for mario v2 and put them on my calc, the game no longer works. Any ideas?

No, they must have a .8xp file extension, NOT the .83p ones.

Turn Hide extensions for known file types off in the View tab of the Tools\Folder Options window. That's got to be the STUPIDEST feature Redmond has EVER put into ANY program... It causes so many heartaches.

I have to agree, it's the first thing I noticed with XP, and the first to be disabled. I could (maybe) see it's usefulness for a clean display, but having it on by default is just stupid.

It's been there, and on by default, since Windows 95.

I've used 95a-95d 98 2000 ME and XPpro and all have never had that as default...

Then your OEM probably turned it off. If you do a clean install of Windows, it's always turned on.

I uploaded the .8xp file and it didn't work. Do I upload levels to the archive or RAM or does it not matter?

RAM if you want to run them. When you don't need them, they can be archived though.

@Andy - I re-installed my windows a year ago and file extensions were displayed by default...

From a holographic Microsoft disk or from the disk your computer manufacturer gave you?
