Total Posts: 1892 | A few points about global moderator powers, first off, don't ever delete a topic unless a person posted it more than once, if you think it needs to be deleted, close the topic and send a message to an active administrator.
Secondly, yes, we do know when you edit someone's post, and they know it too, so avoid doing that unless it's your own forum.
Hopefully you'll never need to use these tools, but we feel safer that other users can step in a situation when all the administrators are busy. If you're ever unsure what to do, or need to point something out, our IRC room is a perfect place for that sort of thing (this applies to all users).
In short, use your best judgement. And since this is being tested, if you abuse a power, it'll be removed. |
