well, from what I remember, the summer of 2003 was booming. And geez, we've got like, what... 10 games in the past MONTH? We used to get that many in about 2 days.

Theory: Most of the folks from the original programming boom have since graduated from school etc. and don't have so much free time nor do they use their calculators for much anymore. The kids who are in school now, those who would presumably replace the old generation of programmers, have no need to write games of their own because so many already exist.
