lord_bakotl Dragoon Posted: 27 Oct 2005 09:48 GMT Total Posts: 70 | its something someone does to keep a thread from sinking into inactiveness, and keeping it at the top. Usually it doesn't happen for a few days, due to the slow response nature of message boards. |

Andy Administrator Posted: 27 Oct 2005 19:25 GMT Total Posts: 939 | Go yell at TI, not us. It's a problem with their calculator and linking program, not a game.
(Sorry, I'm in a VERY BAD mood right now, but the point stands -- it's just some TI piece of -- and if I find any mod that removes that it'll be your head) |

This is a semi-infrequent error usually resulting form either your cord being unplugged or TI-connect not wanting to link to your calculator. When I sya it doesn't want to, i mean it has a bug, not that it actually has feelings and just sometimes says "I don't want to", although it certainly seems like that sometimes. |
Andy Administrator Posted: 3 Nov 2005 19:26 GMT Total Posts: 939 | You might try rebooting your computer. |
ryan mahler Probe Posted: 5 Nov 2005 12:03 GMT Total Posts: Edit | i've had this problem too, but i've just had to unplug the calc, close TI Connect, and then just plug it back in. also, make sure that windows specifically recognizes the device. if it comes up with the found new hardware wizard when you plug the calc in, just unplug it and plug it back in. if it comes up again, plug it into a different USB port. (for some reason my computer doesn't recognize it on one of the ports...) |
Andy Administrator Posted: 5 Nov 2005 16:40 GMT Total Posts: 939 | Windows *won't* recognize it the first time you plug it into a port. You have to go through the wizard for every port. If you abort the wizard, it won't work for that port. The wizard should find the driver right off the bat so just let it go. |
ryan mahler Probe Posted: 5 Nov 2005 17:16 GMT Total Posts: Edit | Oh, yeah, that works too, but i'm lazy, so I'd rather just unplug it and plug it back in. |
Andy Administrator Posted: 5 Nov 2005 19:21 GMT Total Posts: 939 | ... un/replugging is more work... |
ryan mahler Probe Posted: 6 Nov 2005 08:50 GMT Total Posts: Edit | I use the two USB prots on the front of my computer, though, so it is really easy. (And I forgot where I put my TI Connect CD to install the drivers...) |
CalculatorPhreak Probe Posted: 6 Nov 2005 12:45 GMT Total Posts: 9 | What Version are you running on TI Connect? |
ryan mahler Probe Posted: 6 Nov 2005 20:21 GMT Total Posts: Edit | 1.6, and I know I can just download it, but I just don't really want to, and I'll find the CD someday... (Besides, it's not like it's a big deal.) |
