Yeah, I'm new to this forum. :P

Anyways, I was wondering if there was a forum for people to suggest games to be programmed (I looked around, I didn't see anything related to it), and if so, what kind of information would we need?

Thanks,

Edit
You could pretty much post them here, but most people don't like to be told what to program. The most you'll probably get from people are things like "Why don't you learn how to make it yourself?"

Sorry 'bout that, but it's mostly true.

Bleh, well...

I was thinking of making a game after Blob Bob...

What program do I use to make flash games?

What programs does one usually use when making flash games? (non-text adventures, etc.)

Zilog developer's studio. And the Wappsign application.

One last question (hopefully :P)

The difficulty of making a flash game: rate 1-10, 1 being really easy, 10 being really hard.

Also, do you need any prior knowledge of programming to be able to do this?

if you have prior programming experience in C or similar, 8 to 9, if not, probably 12.5

Not necessarily, XX. Although C does come in handy when making comparisons between asm and C and in knowing the preprocessor.

Try either here under the 83+/se link in the games tab at the top of the page, or at ticalc.org

You must extract the programs from their zip folder before you send them to your calc, just fyi. and only send things that are .8x* file extensions, like MARIO.8xp or PIC0.8xi

At the top, there's "Edit Profile"

Scroll down to the Avatar stuff. The rest is self-explainatory.

"if you have prior programming experience in C or similar, 8 to 9, if not, probably 12."

Dang! Why so difficult? I'm fairly good at C and C++, but I find trying to program these flash apps extrordinarily(sp?) challenging. Perhaps it is no wonder that there never seems to be very many flash apps avalible (except through education.ti.com).....

Here's my *suggestion* (call it a dream, if you prefer) for a program:

>>Has great graphics (grayscale, idealy)
>>Has decent speed, good "story-line", and many levels.
>>Is an RPG
>>A level-editor

Anyone up to the chanllenge? :img13: :img13: :img13:

I think Fate by Fire meets all but the last requirement. Check on United TI.

TI seem to want to make it hard to make flash apps:
83-must be programed in z80 asm
89-must use TI's horrible compiler that crashes when you are editing code and you have to get TI to sign it so not many people want to put in work just to have TI reject their stuff

All that that program does is draw a picture and let you move a mouse around with the keypad. The only OS is the built in one, all the planned 3rd party ones were abandoned.

The only true Operating system for your calculator is v2.30. You can download it from here: http://education.ti.com/us/product/apps/84pos.html

MirageOS is a third-party flash-application that allows you to easily run assembly-programs on your calculator. It can be downloaded from here: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/139/13949.html

Thanks guys I downloaded Mirage OS and it works good. Just alot of apps to go through to get to it..lol. Now I can finally actually play an assembly falldown. Not the slow cruddy basic ones..No offence to whomever write's them. By the way my new hiscore for falldown is 1,933. The only reason it is not higher is becuase, I got so far and I couldnt move left or right at all..Guess it is the highest score possible..Anyone have higher?
