Graphics/Interface: 10/10 |
Has excellent graphics and everything runs smoothly. Also, I LOVE the special effects, like the rain, snow, and lightning. They add a good touch to the gameplay |
Playability/Usability: 9/10 |
The controls are quick and easy to learn, although it is a bit hard. Still, it just encourages you to try harder |
Replay Value/Reuse Value: 10/10 |
Believe me, this game will last you a while. I doubt if you'll ever have to 'replay' it (unless you get frustrated and delete it). Even so, the highsore feature helps out a bit. |
Controls/Interface: 10/10 |
Controls are extremely easy to learn and right where they should be. |
Overall Value: 10/10 |
THE best racing game out there. |

This game has only six levels, but believe me they will last you a long time. You can't progress to the next level until you've beaten the one before it; therefore, you have to beat level one before you can play two, beat level two before three, and so on. But once you've beaten a level, you've unlocked the next level.
Also, this game uses a checkpoint system, which works out really well. There is a bar across the top of the screen that displays how much time you have left to get to the next checkpoint. If time runs out before you reach the next checkpoint, your car gradually begins to slow down and stop. However, if you cross a checkpoint line before the car comes to a complete stop, you can continue on.
You're not alone, either. There are many other people to get in your way, especially in the beginning. If you bump into one of these other cars, your car slows down a bit and you have to 'reaccelerate.' Even if they're the ones that bump into you (which can happen quite a bit in the beginning of the race) then you slow down. These cars are just there to get in your way, though, because there is no ranking system or anything like that.
The only that is disappointing is that it's in two separate programs, the main program LOTUS and another program, LOTUSDAT. Because of this, LOTUSDAT has to be in RAM for the program to work. So if either of this is erased (which is quite likely, because LOTUSDAT won't rearchive when your done playing), you can't play it. That and the program is fairly large, about 10k when you add both programs together.
But one thing to note about the game is it's weather effects. They're absolutely amazing. Or at least they add a nice touch to the game. For example, in level six there's a thunderstorm going on, and occasionally you'll see lighting and thunder (well, not the thunder) and it will be raining. However, if you go under a tunnel, the rain and everything stops until you get back out.
In conclusion, this game is definitely one that I'd reccomend. This will be one of those programs that you give to your friends just so they can give it back to you if you lose it. This game is a classic.

This is a good TI-83+ calc. game. It's one of the best racing games ever (although there aren't too many). It is a TAD hard, but it just makes you want to play it again and again. Very good graphics; well worth the download!

I don't say this very often, but this is the Best game for the 83+. Not only does it have stunning graphics, but it plays very smoothly, like a real race game. This game is very challenging, which is why It got a 9. I've played it for over 2 years and have only beat course 1. :-( But never-the-less, you MUST check out this game, it will stun you, as it did with me.
