Okay, finally the new features are out and running. Everything seems to be working. Though, if you find something wrong please let us know so we can take care of that asap. Current Issues: When viewing forums under News category, avatars and sigs don't show up. I'm currently working to fix this problem. **FIXED** Logout time doesn't get updated when you logout. Thus, when you log back in, new post icons will not indicate updated forums in accordance to your actual logout time. This issued is being worked on. Thanks for Barrett for noticing this. New Features Are Up zkostik You're welcome D. I'm still fixing some misc bugs, but generally, the forum is in working order. Let me know if you find something that doesn't work so I can take care of that. And I'll post the CG Ad update too. EDIT: Interesting avatar, what is it? Hehe, I guess avatar description field wouldn't hurt. Though, I'd want to finish with current problems first, before I start anything new. New Features Are Up Digital Okay. I need to redo the source for my avatar so it is not distored. Or could you add a size option 100x80 (h. rectangle)? Either way my avatar will be displayed correctly. Bug, When replaying to a thread, avatars and sigs are not viewed. I and Barrett decided to only show avatars/sigs in normal forum view to take off unnecessary server load and thus improve loading speed for users with slower connections. Though, if enough people want this chages, a simple CG skin update will show avatars/sigs everywhere posts are shown... Hey D, I've added an avatar size you've requested. New Features Are Up Digital There should be no speed issue unless the avatars are not cached onto the users harddrive. Why did you guys originally code the site so it reloads every single piece of data everytime you visit it? Is it possible to disable that or have it enabled by having the cookie compared to a time stamp of when the site/page was last updated? 19 Nov 2003, 14:20 GMT

New Features Are Up zkostik Well, cached images will be drwan from cache but since the site is in frames due to its layout, html code will be reloaded (this is what you get when you browse to the site). There's nothing we can do about it except changing the layout design. You can control your cache settings from browser's options, though I've noticed IE cache setting be quite buggy and only gave it a tiny cache size so it pretty much reloads all content. Again, if people ask to display avatars/sigs along with all posts, we can do it but if people don't care I'd rather only show them on normal forum wiev to reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage. Btw, the way our avatar size system works, its very easry to add/change sizes and there's just one config line to modify. So basically, if you want a new size and its withing our avatar size limits then you can ask for it to be added. New Features Are Up zkostik Yeah, I guess...Uploader is working but I need some of admins to test it for me. B is too busy right now and not of much help, maybe you or S can test it? Lemme know when you guys have time or if you wanna do that for me and I'll run a server and give you a test link. There are lots of features in the new uploader and it needs some heavy testing. It has almost all the parts added, except file update feature. So far, uploader and file approver work (I think they do...). New Features Are Up zkostik Yeah, I've noticed that too. I'm beginning to think that the chunk of code that draws a news article on top somehow interferes with the rest of the page. I'm going to have some free time this saturday, so I'll look into that. New Features Are Up zkostik Just a small note, I've raised a char limit on Bio to 500 chars as I've been trying hard to cram my info into the field. At the first glance 350 seemed like more than enough, but it actually made me pick words and then I has to go over my bio and get rid of a few sentences to make it fit within the limit. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was slightly bothered by that, so I've decided to change that. New Features Are Up zkostik Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the update. I especially like the extended user profile so that we can all learn a little more about each other. There are still a few bugs I need to fix, they're not destructive at all, but I still need to work on those. Now, you guys have no excuse not to fill out your profiles!
