I have taken all the internal workings out of my (broken) TI 83+SE and have only left the buttons and the screen (so that it still looks like a calculator. My Idea is that I can incorporate other gadgets into this "calculator" and create something for class when school starts up again.

I have already got plans for installing a laser light in the place of the port at the bottom. But that is where my thoroughly thought out ideas end. Any ideas would help me significantly. This will be awesome!

A taser would be useful. You could zap people in math class with it. You might also want to put a nuclear reactor in it, those are good for when the power goes out.

Ooh, and spin rims.

You guys are crazy.

Edit: after reviewing my post for countless minutes (maybe it was 30, maybe it was 31 etc.) I have decided to explain why you are crazy:

I am a 15 year old boy with limited income (none) and the parts required to creat a nuclear reactor that small don't come cheap! But I am now going to overcome that problem.

MechaTech84 is now starting up an orginization known as the MnM foundation. MnM stands for Mecha needs Money. 100% of all donations go directly to this foundation. More information on where to donate later.

How about a button that makes some sort of noise go off, like a buzzer, when you touch it. And maybe one of the buttons could be one of those things that shocks people when thy touch it like those fake pens and gum wrapers (sort of like a taser).

EDIT: Well Mecha I am going to give you some advice that I think you will take with you forever. My basketball coach says it to or team all the time, "Excuses are like butts, everyone has them and they all stink."

There was a kid who made a nuclear reactor in his basement. I don't think the parts were too expensive either.

Also: You should add a GBA SP.

That sounds cool you could take out the calculator jack and put a headphone jack in its place and have it run over to where the shuffel sits. I guess that this would kill the laser idea though.

You could also hold chapstick in the battery area. :)

Put in a TV remote control. That way, your buddies can be watching TV, and suddenly, the channel changes! But you'd just innocently doing math... or so it appears...

Why not put in a Wi-Fi receiver, tweak everything a bit, and have a handheld computer for Internet stuff?

Wait...they already have one of those.

You could partition off a small area and cover it with metal. Then make a small hole, put a firecracker in it, leave it behind someone, light it...

...and blow up a perfectly good calculator.

Maybe if you modded it so it would light a bottle rocket when you put in certain code...

me2, it is time to learn RULE NUMBER ONE OF FIREWORKS SAFETY.

And it is:

Fireworks blow everything up, except, oddly, for dynamite.
