 | Ok i recently got a TI 89TI (titanium) calculator and i was wondering if games and programs for the regular TI 89 calculator would work on it since its just a different edition. Thanks in advance for the help :) |

 | sorry to be a pest but...this might be a really stupid question, I used to have a TI 89 that was given to me by a friend so i didnt have the cable and stuff for it. I bought this one new with the cable so i dont know much about how to download games and such to it. How do i do that? like once i connect it into the computer how do i know what folder or what to put the game in? |

 | you already connected it? uh oh. alright do this:
install TI connect, just google it and go through the very small process to be able to download it. then install TI connect
connect your calculator then and let the computer install with TI connect.
then it will be pretty obvious what to do after that.
if your calc doesnt connect to TI connect, then tell me.

 | no problem. and good for you. i was beginning to worry. because i forgot how to reset drivers. XD soya. install TI connect and if it sez windows might have a prob with it, ignore that. its only reacting to how ti connect installs drivers and file types and just plain changes some things in the very core of windows to make your calc work. nothing bad, though. but enough to get the stupid security in XP worried.
im leaving now, so if you have any questions, pm me or post them, but i might not get to them until tommorrow. but the rest of the process should be fine and simple. just drag files into the device explorer window- youll figure it out. if you need to i have a mini walkthrough with my game-escape. just look it up on the ti84 games in basic. it has a walkthrough in there. or you can see our FAQ, its under the site listing.

 | Not all assembly 89 games and programs will work on the 89T.
GhostBuster is a program for the 89T that modifies assembly programs to work for the 89T.
HW3Patch patches the 89T so that there is better compatibility.

 | Although this is probably unneccesary, i feel like posting a list of no trouble-ti-89T games that dont require anything to be compatible, just play right away Super Mario 68k (on this site)
 Ice Hockey 68k (OTS)
 Excitebike 68k (OTS)
Ztetris (ticalc.org, do a find at the ti-89 games section)
theres a crapload more, but i'm tired... (yawns)
 Oh, and
Texas Fighters (i got it at ticalc.org, same method as Ztetris)
 Bombermaze 68k (OTS)
 OTS means on this site
 O jeez, and
Last but probably second most (to mario)
 Phoenix
 Phoenix Platinum
Both can be found on this site

 | FAQ If that doesn't work- I had this same problem on my TI-84+SE- I would try contacting Ti here: TI
 Good luck with that.
