Hello, I'm new to this forum, to TI Calculators and therefore to calculator gaming so I had a couple of questions :D I tried searching the forum for answers but none seemed to give the answers I wanted, so here goes:

I just bought a TI-89 Titanium and wanted to put games and programs in it but when I saw that there were very little available games/programs to it, I wondered over to the TI-83+ & TI-84+ page and saw that there were a relatively vast amount of games & programs. I went ahead to google to do some search and found out that 89 Ti was newer/had better hardware than 83+ or 84+ (or was I wrong?) so theoretically I thought that 89 Ti should run games written for lesser hardware but then I came across posts that put doubt in me so here goes my questions:

1) Does TI-89 Ti run 83+/84+ games? (I read about patching games with some stuff called HW3 & Ghostbuster, will they work if I did these?)
2) If they don't, how difficult is it to migrate them from 83+/84+ to 89 Ti? If it isn't too difficult (as I have practically no programming background) I could learn it up, migrate them and share them here too on the way.

Thanks so much in advance. :D

1) No.

2) In general, very difficult, unless it's a really simple game.

There is actually a wide variety of games for the 89 (just not on this website). Go to http://www.ticalc.org/, go to Archives->File Archives->Access our archives->89->asm->games.

In particular, I <3 Super Mario 68K, a remake of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Latest HW3 patch is compatible with HW4:
"This program patches AMS to allow memory resident (TSR) programs, DLLs (dynamically-linked libraries), stack trampolines (used by some programs as part of the GCC nested function implementation) and similar constructs to run on HW2, HW3 and HW4 calculators with AMS 2.00 or higher.
V.1.01 adds support for AMS 3.01. V.1.02 adds support for AMS 3.10. V.1.03 adds support for hardware version 4.00."

Go to Kevin Kofler's site, "TI-89 programs" on the left, click on "HW3Patch v.1.03" (should be the first link), and click again to download.
