I have had a TI-89 Titanium for a while now and just started looking into putting games onto it, but I have a few questions....

1) Will most/all 89 games work on 89 ti?
2) I have read that you need the HW3 patch and Ghostbuster to play the games, is there anything else needed? and how can I tell if they are even needed for certain games?
3) I read the readme for hw3 patch, complicated to say the least, but if I install it and run it correctly am I going to notice any difference in normal calc. operation?
4) Is the "zunpack" for ghostbuster needed to install as well?
5) Concerning transfering them onto the calculator..... I was getting confused about the correct place to put them (games and hw3/ghostbuster), so can anyone clear up where I need to place them? Been hearing about this "main" folder place.

1. Yeah, if used with HW3Patch and GhostBuster. Note that HW3Patch is a one-time install, but GhostBuster must be manually applied to each program.

2. No, there is not anything else needed. If it's not specified in the readme file of a game, then just try the game (probably a good idea to archive everything on your calculator first). If it works, cool. If it doesn't, apply GhostBuster.

3. No.

4. Usually, no.

5. If you press [2ND] + [-], you'll get the VAR-LINK menu, which lists all the files on your calculator. Names in all caps (MAIN, for instance) are folders. Some games require programs/data to be in certain folders (like Ultima V), but those specifics are usually noted in the readme files (you should usually read those). If there's nothing mentioned, you can usually dump stuff in any folder, though you probably want to create your own folders for organization.
