Ok, I can't get it to work. I try to create a ROM but it doesn't work. I'm using A black USB cable. It says on it's side "USB shielded High speed cable 2.0". I plug it in and it shows up as USB1 but VTI only reads COM and thus I confused about what to do. How should I set it up?

With VTI you can only extract a ROM with the black serial cable or the parallel cable.

NOOOO! that's horrible that means I'll never get a ROM. I say that because rom8x never works for me. I mean ever.

What happens when you try using rom8x? We can try to help you with it, though I think the only emulator with 84+ support is TilEm.

Well.. you have to follow the readme step by step, or it will notwork. I have used the utility multiple times, and have had no problems with it.
