I have a TI-83 Plus Calculator, but I don't have the connection cord yet. Anyhoo, I happened to get a program (for PC) called "TI-83 Plus Flash Debugger." It turns out that this program can actually emulate a real TI-83 Plus Calculator, something I didn't know (I'm very new to this).
My question is, can the Flash Debugger use it's emulation of the calculator to run a game? I have been installing the MirageOS app and then installing the RAM file of the game, but there's nothing in the min folder of MirageOS. Does it actually work?

Well in my experience with "TI-83 Plus Flash Debugger" you can NOT play MirageOS games (ASSEMBLY games). You can however play BASIC games on it.

My problem was once I got an assmebly program Mirage would crash when I started it.

I've played Super Mario on it, but it didn't run correctly (laggy Mario, couldn't jump right). Then I switched to PindurTI, and all was good. I suggest you do the same (or WabbitEmu since it's out now).

I didn't know that you could play calculator games on Flash Debuger. Are you saying that all you have to do is connect your calculator and computer, and run only basic games?

. . . Say what? You transfer the programs directly into Flash Debugger. There's no need to connect your calculator.

I edited john777's post to include links to Wabbitemu and PindurTI. That was all that I was saying.

The Flash Debugger is a software development kit that's meant to be used for debugging Flash applications. It has register-tracking capabilities, an emulator (that's what you're interested in), the option to insert breakpoints, I think, and other things. This means that its main purpose is for testing Assembly programs and Flash application, though the full emulation of the calculator does allow for running BASIC programs.
The reason that I recommend Wabbitemu is that runs the smoothest, gives the most realistic monochrome LCD simulation, and has the best icon.

No, my post was directed at zarg, his post seemed to imply that you transfer games from your calculator into Flash Debugger or something. Or maybe I'm hallucinating.

Would you use flash debuger to program a ASM program on your computer then coppy it over to your calculator, or would you program a ASM program on your calculator then coppy it over to your commputer and test it to make sure it will not crash your calculator?

Edit:
Also, should I use TI-Graphic Link or Flash debuger when I make ASM programs?

anything you make on Debugger CAN NOT be used on any thing else, like your calculator

i got a question, has anyone been able to actually use the debugger for Assembly???? Everytime i load MirageOS it works at first, but once i load an assembly game, MirageOS crashes when i open it

The flash debugger is the main debugger I use for writing assembly programs. It's certainly not perfect, but for what I need it to do, it does it well.
