ok so I while I was playing around with my N-spire today I noticed that when you have the 84 face plate in and send groups to or from either calculator, rather then copy the groups, it just cuts and pasts them, to use a computer analogy. This hasn't been a problem untill now. I deleted the groups (accidentally) from my real Ti-84 and now they are gone, and my back-ups on the computer wern't up to date. What I am wondering is if can I get them off of a rom I made of the calculator. I have tryed with wabbitemu but that doesn't show groups or programs from the calculator (do those things go with the rom, I guess i don't know). If that is not possible is there any way to recover? Thanks for any help.

If you haven't garbage collected yet on that calculator (or ROM dumpers also grab the user archive, which I'm not 100% on), the groups are still there and can be recovered, but if they've been deleted, you'll have to manually pull them out...it's a little involved.

What I'm more interested in is this group cut/paste thing with the Nspire...I don't really understand. Are you saying that if you have a group on your emulated 84+SE on the Nspire, and you transfer that to a real 84+/SE, the group is removed from the emulated one? That doesn't happen on my Nspire...what OS version does it have?

Well I haven't gabage collected yet (to be honest I have left it alone since, just to be safe) So how would I go about attempting to recover. Thanks

About the group thing. It was with the OS that came with it when I got got it, late november. I have updated it since but I haven't tried to send any groups yet. But yes I think you did understand it right, when I sent the groups they would be gone on the sending calculator, but the recieving one would have them. I could try getting an old version of the OS and trying it again if you want
