when i connect the calculater,open TI-Connect, go to device explorer, the explorer says "Ti 84 Plus Silver Edition Dected, but couldn't get status"
Anyone know what to do?

I would try to unhook the cable, then I would reconnect it. Next I would refresh. That usually works for me.

tried it . i tried other usb ports too. nothing is working

uninstall and reinstall TI-Connect. Then after it is installed, connect the calculator, see if that works.

i also tried that. but didn't work. however i left the calc alone for 2 days and now it works. might have been the reinstall though.

that happened on my old laptop.
sucked.
somehow it worked after a while.
i think its XP's sloppy use of drivers.
