OK how many transfers with a computer is a calculator allowed before it won't allow itself to transfer any more. Oh yeah if you have a assembler app like Mirage, Ion (Who honestly uses this), etc. How much more quickly does it degrade. I'm wondering because I was wanting to play Chess in Math class but sadly the only programs that I can find that have AI on the calculator all asembly so that means that I'll need to have an assembler. (They say shell needed on the main thing.) So any help. I'm still going to work on beta version so that I can have release done by Oh snap! I've only got like two more days until I should have it done. Goodbye my dear friend that I used to know as sleep. I'll miss you for the next to days. Tonight though I shall go to bed. But every waking moment of my time will be spent on project. Sadly though name creation in the beginning will still be up and running on Beta Version Mainly because I need strings for the battle engine.

I'm stopping reading after your first sentence because the rest looks like unneeded extra information.

Don't worry about it. You'll break the calculator in other ways long before the FLASH chip wears out.

Ok but I was talking about when you have to reset all of your memory. Because it seems that after like 7-9 transfers on my calc whilst I had Mirage OS, CharMap, Xlib on it. It would acess denied. Is there any way to get around this?

What do you mean reset your memory? If you're talking about resetting the RAM, you should only have to do that in the event of a memory leak, and none of the programs you listed should have leaks. If you're talking about the flash ROM, which I think you are from the topic name, you should never ever have to reset that, unless you are like me and you manage to corrupt it screwing around with assembly (and that only happened once). You might have to garbage collect every so often (in fact you will have to every so often), but that will clear up all the unused memory for future use.

I was talking about resetting all. It seemed to happen when I used to play alot of assembly games. I mean it was my RAM and my flash ROM that needed to be reset. I always make sure to garbage collect every fifth time I archive/unarchive something. But I have no idea while It would do that to me. I mean it used to happen to me a lot with my old calculator. I've recently traded my old in for a new. Yay, Office Max insurance for wear and tear as they call it. It hasn't happened to me in a while. Could it have just been my old calculator?

Definitely. Like I said, there is really no reason to reset your ROM unless you really detest everything stored in it.

Well Like I said my computer says Permission denied whenever I attempt to transfer sometimes. I attempt to get around it but nothing I try seems to work. The only thing that works is to reset all.

Nothing you do will wear out the flash ROM chip. Don't worry about it.
