Hi

Just bought a TI-89 from the local store. Unfortunately I have some problems connecting the calculator to the computer. I've tried using both TI Connect and TI-Graph Link 89, downloaded from the TI-website, but neither of the program seems to fint that the calculator is connected to the computer at all.

Im using the cable following the package, one end has the serial-port connection and the other has a black box. Into the box i connect a short cable similar to a usual 3.5mm audiocable, also included in the package.

What could be the problem? Anyone has some ideas?
Would be very greatful for some help!

Make sure your calc is on a plugged in completely.
If it is a serial connection try running the Find New Hardware wizard on your PC. That way it should be able to detect the hardware and install the appropriate drivers.

If this doesn't work let us know.

It is much easier to suggest solutions when you know nothing about the problem.
