There is also this. In general though it's better to write your programs directly on the calc.

Whoa, if you use SourceCoder, be sure to double-check every move you make. It works and it's functional, but it has too many bugs for me to endure.

SS's correct in saying that it's much more practical to program BASIC oncalc when you have a choice between that and a computer, the reason being that:

1. You can easily test things every step of the way. Debugging is much more difficult on programs that are already structurally completed (like they would be if you did it all on a computer).
2. On a computer, you type commands in letter by letter, taking extra steps to find special characters. When programming oncalc, however, BASIC instructions are typed as a whole, each one easily accessible.

If you use the program editor on TI Connect for Mac, be sure to use something else to get the file extension to .8xp, since the program editor only saves to .TIProgram.

haveacalc, sourcecoder is good for minor edits. Also, I forgot to mention that if you use an intel based mac, TI-Connect does in fact work (even though the website says otherwise).

*Sigh*
When we both have something that works well for ourselves, is it even worth it to argue about what's best?

Oh wait, I forgot this as another online option: http://ti.zewaren.net/en/...

I agree that most coding should be done on the Calc but for games that require lots of text i would code it all (but the txt) on the calc then type the txt up on the pc. main type of gmae that needs this - RPG or Adventure game

I have a TI-86, and really prefer typing in commands letter-by-letter to wading through endless menus :P
