Ok. I have this awsome game that I have made, but it is really slow. I programmed all 1000+ lines on the TI-83, and franqly, its quite slow. It would be nice if someone could give me a link to a working TI-83 Basic to ASM compiler, not a TI-83+ a TI-83! Thanks!

Do you remember, coolw, someone saying something along the lines of "there is no such language converter for any calculator"?

Let me guess- It keeps freezing after you add the strings? It's a fake. If I ever have time, I'll make a real one of those (I already know how it would go)...

You need to make it obvious when people of lesser mental capacity are involved.

Yeah, but NOW they don't have an edit tag, so he doesn't have to write "Edit: typo" five billion times in each of his posts.

Edit: Of course, you can do the edit: thing if you want.

Oh, yeah, and that was a joke! I kid the Zach-man!

@3fg
Before I could only edit my posts if it was the last one posted. Now it doesn't matter if it's the last or the first

Seriously, don't bother with it. If it actually worked, then it would be more popular. Even if it was real, floating point numbers are slow. If you're concerned about the speed of your game, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be glad to help you learn Assembly.

How well do you memorize things? Say, how many digits of e or pi do you suppose you could remember after 30 or 45 minutes of analyzing? If you're skilled at memorizing things quickly, you could program in hex opcodes oncalc, like I do. If not, you could always use an oncalc assembler. These are just ways to be handsonsy, though.

No matter what you do, what's helped me more than anything else is having a virtual representation for all the data that I'm working with. Keep in mind that each pixel on the LCD is a bit. Although it's possible to manipulate the LCD more directly, all you really need to know is that the graph screen buffer (copied to the graph screen either upon exiting an Assembly program or after executing B_CALL(_BufCpy)) starts at the address of 9340h. Using the LCD to show the data that you're working with allows you to see the result of everything that you do.
