Microsoft® Announces Windows VistaTM for the TI-82 | Andy |
The result of a bizzare court battle over the licensing of Microsoft® Windows VistaTM has forced Microsoft® to announce a version for the TI-82. Initial reports indicate that it comes on a custom ROM chip which snaps over the original ROM (similar to the Texas Instruments 80486SXLC2), and provides a switch which sticks out the back to allow you to choose between Windows® and TI-OS. This also gives you an additional 128 MiB of RAM and 2 GiB of EEPROM for running programs and storing data, respectively. Response times are surprising fast, considering it's Windows®. Microsoft, Windows, and Windows Vista are trademarks or registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries. Update: Yes, in case you didn't figure it out, it was a joke. | |
