okay, i went on and added a browser checker as well as a NS version or our naviatio bar. this way our dropdown menus should work in both NS and IE. i tested them in my old NS 4.x and they worked. also, the script that handled the "home" button has been updated and now works in both IE and NS. there are still some issues remain before we make site work as intended in old NS, but we'll leave it for later as most annoying things were fixed. right now we're also busy relocating our roms and perhaps switching to a new host where we'll be able to store all of our stuff in one place. okay, i hope new changes work for you. i'd also like to hear some commentary. thanks.

does it detect browser with a JS? if so what does it do if JS is turned off? btw, you might want to check out this plan on infinology. every single review i've read on the internet says it's down half the time - however it also has a 30 day money back guarentee... (it's also possible that all of those people signed up for the windows server plan) they guarentee 99.5% uptime and if they don't meet that guarentee we should be able to get our money back any time... (it offers 9 GB storage, 50 GB bandwidth and all the cool features at 6.95 a month)

Z, you forgot that admin.htm should now be admin.cgi.. i'll change it back... but just try to keep in mind what changes have been made to the site by me so that you always download the most recent file before updating.

ok, as you can see i added a login link to m_menu if you're not logged in (it's actually a cgi now cgi-bin/menu.cgi)... but what i need from you, Z is either a javascript in news.cgi to detect if it just came from tzlogin.cgi and if so, refresh menu.cgi in the menu frame (cus it'll still say you're not logged in) OR a little form in the menu for logging in... i guess you can just copy the login template for that but it gets a little complicated with like [#user#] and stuff and probably won't work too well...

okay, i changed the look of that login message to our fashion. as to with m_menu updating, that might be hard to do. i'll see what can be done about that. oh, in reply to the message about dosabled JS...not much can be done here...most people JS one and rather disable Java applets cuz they're the ones that may cause serious problems unlike JS.

oh, and about infinitology, it looks sooo freakin' awesome. geez, if it does work well there are enough storage for all the stuff we'll ever have! Generally, most hosts right now have good uptimes cuz the technology got pretty advanced. They also give SQL db. I think it won't hurt to try especially when they have money back guarantee thing.

btw, about updating the menu page...can't we have two jump calls at once? if so, teemz could update both pages when it's done login.

i've seen nothing but bad reviews for infinology... however, spenix looks great. the owner used to own webhostingtalk.com so i'd assume he does a good job. plan 2 looks good for us - 500 MB and stuff. btw, can you detect browser in perl? if so then we can just do that for top.htm.

i'm not sure B, maybe there's some module for that but i've never seen one. most vrowsers have JS enabled anyway (even ones in schools!). actually, only Java applets can cause potential danger not JS.

also, i got logout/error cathing all work in menu frame. so, from now on, every login option can be accessed from the menu. however, when invalid error would appear, no error message is shown but only login doesn't work and you get the same login form again. (and yes, i had to modify login script too)
