first of all, how well does perl handle floats? like if i were to compare 55555555/777777777 and 55555555/777777776 would it do a good job at that? this would be used for sorting by file rating. how would it store the decimal?

now some ideas:
RIGOW
Random Interesting Game Of the Week.

we'll have a new game every week to be the RIGOW... it doesn't have to be good.. it just has to be worth download. either because it's something new, or because it's fun, or because it's unusual. this will give people another reason to come back to our site. it'll of course have to be mainly past games.. just something that we come accross... and people can suggest games... this'll be like our 'featured' games... usually there are less than 4 interesting new games each month so we should be able to keep up with new ones...

ummm...floats...i'm not 100% sure, but it should handle them pretty well. my Perl book doesn't say anything bad about floats, so i think they're accurite enough.

as with RIGOW, i totally agree and i'm sure many will like to see something like that again especially after its gone from ticalc.org
however, i want to finish the file system first, at least the user part. (finish/tune the display, review, ratings and small stat screen)
i myself would really love to see POTM or POTW back. i'm not sure how we'd make it work, but maybe presenting our visitor with several prog options and the most voted prog would go on display. or maybe let people vote for any prog they like and prog with most votes will go in display. yeah.
