you shouild have it be to if someone posts a new topic with the word "help" or "please" in it, or "mirageos", or "ION", or "sending" or anything else...they should get a confermation message that strongly urges people to read past topics to see if thier problem in there....and give another link to TI-FAQ....take a look at the main forum...72 topics in 60 days...most about the same thing...

Yes. Good idea.

If this forum somehow enables "pinned posts" you can create an FAQ or a "READ THIS FIRST!!!" type of thing so people stop asking the same stupid questions a billion times a day.

No pinned posts, sorry. People don't read those anyway. Though, I like your idea allyn. Its not as easy to implement as it may sound, but if I get a chance I'll try.

The sad thing is that it's true people don't read pinned topics. All it does is make people yell at them saying something like, "Can't you see The piined topic! Geez!"
Therefore, it really would only waste time, and cause a more threatening environment.

I think providing more faq links may help. If not, I think allyn is onto something; as difficult as it is.

That's exactly what I thought Billy. I'll try to make something like this maybe around this weekend when I get a day off from work.

I don't know either, I've posted how to download games onto your calc over 4 times now, nice, easy to understand, and yet they still ask the same question, I'm about ready to scream! :img01: > : (
