Well, I'm proud to announce that we just hit 200k download mark and are actually well over it by the time I checked on it. Great! We btw got over 115k dls in under one month woohoo!!! Thanks to everyone of you for all your support and keep coming back!

Also to mention, some forum sections were added so that its easier for everyone to find a right forum for their questions. Feel free to post suggestions on that if you feel we still need a few more sections.

And last but not least, I'm working on a few forum improvements which will (well, might...) include smart topic post to warn users that their question may have already been answered and all new smiley box which will let you easily choose smileys to add to your post w/t having you remember all smiley codes. Cool.

Oh yes, I'll keep you informed on any progress or you may just see it up on the site sometime soon...

Okay, emoticons are all added now and work. There are 85 emoticons in total and some are animated. You can access the emoticon box by clicking "Insert Emoticons" button on the bottom of post page, then just click on any icons you wish to add and thier code will be pasted into the text field (Note: add a space in front or back of your icons or they mad not get detected or get confuse with other text. Also, emoticon code is pasted at the end of your text message). Don't overuse them.

I'm not very creative, so most emoticons have word codes. If you have a creative side and would like to come up with some smiley codes then feel free to do that and post them in this topic along with original emoticon code so I know what needs to be changed. I'd prefer smiley codes that are most popular and widely used. I already have some codes for most basic smileys, but the rest (about 80?) don't have any codes.

Anyways, enjoy and please let me know if you find and bugs or something doesn't work. Also, I apologize for about 10mins of downtime caused by my script bug if you've happened to visit the site at that time.

I like those new smilies. Hey we should make a page that shows how much money we have to spend on the site and contests and use that money emoticon as a unit. Kind of like a bar graph. Have the value negative if we need more money for the server, positive if we have the sever paid off for the month and have some left over for the contests.

When you delete a post that you just posted, you still remain the last poster and the time and location of you post are missing. Hope you understand the bug.

umm...yeesss...this is coz teemz keeps a username of a last poster in a different db (forum index list) and apparently it doesn't seem to update it. i'll try to fix this sometime, that should be pretty easy.
oh yeah, let me fill you in as to why teemz does it this way. it does it to speed up so that it doesn't have to check for the last poster everytime the script it run. it only updates the index when some posts, though i'll need to make a patch so that it does that too when someone deletes posts.
thanks for finding this D.

Yet again, more stuff is added. Although nothing serious, having an easy to insert link and image macro would prove useful. Often people don't feel like typing in html code and some don't know the code to type in, so this should be useful. Many times I even catch myself being too lazy to type hyperlink code and just post the url... :)
Anyway, enjoy.
Oh yes, an update about avatars. This turns out to be a rather big change in the forum code. I've also noticed that including avatars will put much more load on our server, this is because of the way our forum is built. I'll still try to implement this locally on my computer and test it out to see how its doing but I don't guarantee it'll make it here. Anyway, we'll see about that later and you know that I remember about this feature and have started working on it so just sit tight.

Hey Z, I have a suggestion. There are now a whole lot of people that post at this site (frequency is irrelavent). Can you provide the field in the user profiles to put which calcs you own. This would make things flow more esily when someone asks any question, plus we can decid relavence for future calc oriented threads. Just a thought.

yeah, that would really help. But, you should make it a REQUIRED field, that way it wouldn't be blank. One of the options could be none, that way they have to fill it out.

I was thinking about the new fields your going to add Z. Depending on how you code the fields to make them "Required" it could prevent those of us who have existing accounts to be blocked from logging in since we will not have the field filled. If this is true then I would recomend coding it so that there is a distincttion between existing accounts and ones that are being created so that we won't run into any problems with the additional fields.
