2436 at this moment in time. I think calcfreak came close. I don't have the time to check out the regular's postcounts but I'm sure someone else does in order ot establish a ranking of sorts.

I have ~1.5K
Barrett has ~1.3K
Spiral has ~1.1K

(Okay, so I do have a little time)

me too. with my lousy 105 posts (as of right now) out of the possible 11688, i only control .89835729% of the total. i need to get that up to a solid 1%. darn!

btw D, you said that calcfreak came close, as if it were past tense. what exactly did you mean? right now, i don't even think he's close to z.

His profile still exsists, so, at least on a server issue, he still exsists...but he's probably bought 6 more trucks now... :-)

I have most posts mainly because I and B are the first on this site (duh!). At first, B was beating me on post counts but as I finished with high school and had more free time I beat him (not intentionally though). Nowdays D and S do most of the calc help so they even beat B. Speaking of CalculatorFreakCG, he almost hit 1.5K with his 1442 posts. Though, he's got more than 3 account so it's probably safe to say he's got more than 1.5K.

post counts don't mean jack anyway. i mean, you can go through the forums and notice that a lot of people are post to just say "thanks" or "why?" or other stupid crap. anyone can have a high post count, but you have to make them mean something.

why?

No, actually, I really hate people who resopnd with nothing to say. And it's about 35% of the time, at least.

when we first created this site, we had to move the forum from my old site (f2s something or other)... for some odd reason i could not get my old username to work with the user database, so i wrote a simple program that combined all the topics and searched for specific strings "|LBArrettAnderson|" and "|zkostik|" so that i could carry the post count over for each user... interestingly enough the numbers counted by my program were a few less than the numbers on the old site... the reason being that it doesn't subtract when posts are deleted.

That being said, i wonder if calcfreak and/or Z posted a topic and just "refreshed" a few hundred times to get their post count up, and then just deleted all the topics they created (calcfreak could have done that in his forum). it would have been pretty easy in the topic delete menu cause it's just a bunch of checkboxes to delete posts...

I'm gonna look for that program to see if Z's been cheating. :img05:

the |'s are vertical bars... Z, we need to add to the replace function you wrote to change | to a vertical bar.

anything that starts with &# and ends with ; is probably an HTML command to insert an ASCII character, btw.

yeah B, i may have about 20-30 or so bs posts in my count. that counting stuff i deleted or refreshed accidnetly. speaking of deleting posts, we could technically made a little fix and check if poster is deleting their own post and if so update their post count. and yes, the vertical bars also need a fix. i'll probably do that tomorrow.

i don't think it le's me delete even my own posts...But i know Admins can. Also, people like Calcfreak repost instead of editing, which is pretty cheap; you can strech 1 message into 3 or more

regular users can only delete posts if there are no any replies to them. admins can delete any posts. though, if you have problems with your account let me or B know and we'll try to straight everything out for you.

i think i was trying to delete a post that had been replied to, Z. Thanks for the info.

BTW, i like ur tankers maps. Also, the fact that you can squeeze a 30*30 map into 908 bytes is kool :) .

one byte per tile... 30*30 is 900... the actual file size is 900 bytes... but there's like 8 bytes of overhead somewhere for something.

the newest maps (which you'll see when i get my computer back) are like 1.5 KB.
