Just recently there have been a few mwmbers who do not like the way the site is working. Whether it is how frequently one of the administrators adds new features to the site, or how we choose to help those who ask for it, there have been complaints. We appreciate your concerns about the site, but if any of you have problems with the way things are handled here, please e-mail one or all the administrators. We enjoy keeping the forums pretty open with very looose mederation and we wan to keep it that way, but if there are individuals who insist on abusing the privalidge we have provided, we will either ban them or tighten up the moderation; neither of these two options is one we want to enforce.

As for updates to this site; many of you want things like avatars, signatures, and more fields in the user profiles. These are not unreasonable requests, but it is impractical for demanding them instantaneously. Z, or zkostik, is the website programmer who updates the bulk of the code on this site. He does not necessarily have time to meet your requests the very next day. He works and goes to college, both of which take up a very significant amount of time. So unlike most of you out there who go to junior high or high school, he does not have the several hours a day to come and visit the site, let along integrate new features.

Furthermore, some people have been complaining about the quality of help being offered here at calcgames.org. Very few of you were here when the rush of new members came. We have done our best to help everyone who asked, even created a FAQ for everyone to read. What frustrates us is the fact that the new members continually post a new topic with the same exact problem/question that has already been answered half a dozen times. We created the FAQ to help relieve the repetativeness of the assistance we've provided, but now one looks around to see it nor do they try to browse through our forums to see if their delema has already been answered.

We are doing the best we can, and we will continue to do so. Please do not rely entirely on us, but use the reasources we've provided. Finally, if any of you have a problem with the way things are handled, please e-mail us and we'll try our best to accomidate you.

-Thank you,
-CalcGames.org Staff

Look-all I told these new members was that I was quiting my mod postion-it's too much and I'm out of the calculator phase. But now they're all screaming revolt! Whats going on? I don't understand their motive-I'm the one quiting, not them.

I'm not focusing in on anyone in the message. Your none of my worries. I removed you mod status in the forums as you've requested.

I first came here right after TI took away the link...i got your site off ticalc...and it was pretty laid back...but with all of the "inexperienced" coming here...it got overwhelming...and the ticalc.org doesn't have fast upload either...they get backlogged...nothing is fast guys...besides..comlplaining only takes up space...

You should also take into note that ticalc has people who do exclusively uploads and lots of other staff to carry on other tasks. CG is run by five people, of which only four are active. And we do everything here. Those who don't appreciate our work shouldn't come here.
As with you calcfreak, I understand. Though, you should be more careful with what you say. Disregard what people said in the previous topic.

How kind of you to call my active Z!! But in reality, the site is maintained almost solely by just B and Z. I have little/no website experience, maybe D has some.

Forums seem to have died down a bit, maybe nearly everybody has already bought there calculator...till next year :).

Yeah, Zinearety is very busy with college now and somewhat left the calc scene. He does however pays us a visit from time to time just to check how we're doing here. :)
I'm glad you guys remember everyone btw (shame on those who peeked at contacts list!!!). Btw, you're pretty much active spiral. You don't have to write the site code or run the server to be considered active. All just have to contribute to the site and community in some way.

Note: I'm moving this topic to a different forum for obvious reasons. I wish I knew why I didn't put it here in the first place.

Well, zkostik said there were people who didn't real do anything html, just helped out and participated, and we participate alot, there are about, um, 10 people who are regular participants, all admins, allynjfosjr, zootch (you), and me, calcfreak, and now, Billy does too.

:) I like this site, its so active!

i've become quite common at this site. I check it daily. I don't really know why- summer can be so dull.

Edit
people only want to use calcs cause there's school. And for most of us, summer means no school. I know this is in the wrong forum, but i think we should extend the mario level contest so it doesn't exist entirely in the summer.
