I had an idea:

There should be a way to browse usernames on the site without having to click on their profile in a forum. Kinda like ticalc, but better...

I agree. Right after they make the left menu smaller and/or customizable...

No, I think that being able to search through usernames would be more useful. Besides, having a customizable menu would be kinda difficult...

so in other words, a member list? hmm... good idea.

make it sortable by a number of fields (alphabetical, number of uploaded files, total downloads, posts, member status, calculators owned, etc)

I think the smaller menu would look better. What're people going to notice first? The option of searching through usernames or the size of the menu?

Files and dl's are not directly linked to your user name and calcs owned would be kinda hard since it's just a text field, not a preset menu. I think BF has his heart set on that customizable menu too :) .

Yes, but it would be possible to search through that text field to find matches to a certain calc, os, etc., wouldn't it?
