I'd like to take a few moments and issue a notice about forum behaviour. Although we do wish to have a free environment for discussion - and promote free speech - please realise that there is a limit on what you can say on any forum or thread. Do keep in mind that different subforums will have different standards (this thread, for instance, will be held to a much higher standard than one about how someone is doing), and we do not tolerate personal attacks in any instances. I personally, along with many other of our moderators, do not have the time in all cases to read and monitor every topic - so if you do have a concern you wish to address, please send an email to me personally (nikky[at]u.washington.edu), get on IRC, or send a PM (click on my profile to get the link).

Thank you for your time in reading this - members are what makes this forum great.

It is much easier to suggest solutions when you know nothing about the problem.

Edit
I was wondering if that topic, "swearing" can be deleted? We wouldn't want new members running across something like that... Might scare them off...

To delete topics you need to go to the forum subpage (where it lists all of the topics in that particular subforum) and then choose "delete topics." Of course, this is assuming that we gave global mods that power... which I can't remember at the moment. So if it works - it works and if not...

Well, I know I was able to do it before, but I wasn't able to now.

I did it by reopening the topic, deleitnfg all replies, and then deleting the topic.
