Well, I am wondering if we should have readme's be more descriptive, and have certain "general rules and format" they should follow? Basically, Readmes that are like the following:

Program Name
made by name

This file is great! I have sent it to all my friends and they think it is great so I decided to upload it here. Please download and let me know what you think at my email:

Just wondering, if yes, I would be more than willing to write up a guidelines sheet. :)

There is a content page that is about writing readmes, but it does need somewhat more specfic guidelines, so I personally think that that would be a great idea.

btw, i love your sig ryantmer: "Johnny was a chemist's son, but Johnny is no more. What Johnny thought was H2O was H2SO4." ouch

oh, yeah, the topic...

dont you think that would take more time to check out files on calcgames? i mean, you would have to make someone dedicate their whole time to reading the submitted files' readmes. that would not only be boring, but futile. i think its a good idea, really, i mean it does make me feel insulted when i spend a whole day on my readmes, and i dl a game and it has nothing. "why did this file get uploaded?!" Do you think our upload section needs to be any slower? another question, who would read them?

Well, I read them, and it is not like ticalc.org, where we get 20+ files uploaded in a days time... I am gonna start in on this sometime today, and uploadit when finished. Because honestly, the example I posted above happens in a lot of readmes, and the file might as well not include one...

I read them on the games that I try. And if you read my readmes... well, they're sometimes rather fun. :)
