I want to know public opinion on this very odd idea of mine for a game. I'm not exactly sure what kind of game it will be, (although it will be mostly text, I'm lazy!), but I want to make a game about CalcGames.org. I've decided on 3 different storylines:

-Jc Storyline
-Morgan Storyline
-Allynfolksjr Storyline
(I figured I could do the best with those.)

The story? For some reason, CG looks a little different one day. Then it changes more. These aren't good changes, either. Most of the users are behaving strangely. The n00bs are running rampant, the admins are turning to the dark side... (lol not your team DSP)

The 3 users listed above all are unnaffected. You start off as me, when one day I log on to this site only to find out someone got into my account. When I check it out, it turns out a complicated computer-game-type hacking program has been used to devastate the site. The game is similar to an RPG- each user has a character based on what they do on the site/their games. (Mine is a stick figure.) When you die by a corrupted user, your IP address gets banned! After confronting several admins and users gone insane, the story switches to M. Because he has access to the Admin CP, he discovers the corruption that has slowly taken over the site quickly. Unfortunately, since he is newer to the site, he has a very weak character. Somehow he gets in contact w/ me, and we decide to team up on this mess.
This is where A comes in. (His character is a hick.) He somehow thinks we've been corrupted too. After sparing us (hopefully, that's up to you), we face B & Z, who are some strange 2-headed monster. (It just seems right... you 2 made the site.) Then we discover the true cause of the problem...

Oh, and Y makes a secret appearance somewhere as a tiny yoshi. lol

Yes, I know I have a weird imagination. What do you think?

Oh, you would be in it. You should be my storyline's final boss...

But no, you aren't the pure evil behind all of this.

Yes! I'll be powerful!! However, I have no evil master. So I must be the evil behind the whole story.

Hmmm, that sounds eerily similar to the Tron 2.0 storyline. But be sure to blame any server problems on the germans, not us.

TI-83 series BASIC, of course. If someone wants to make a 68k Basic Version or an 85 series version, just pm me, I'd like that.

Um, sure, but I probably wont release early versions, just release it here.

I've changed how Z is going to appear, he's going to be that funny ol' avatar of his (from Full Metal Panic, you said?) with a tank (tankers), and he has gone psycho and blames the main characters for making B disappear. :)

Nice, if you want i can try and port it to the 89. Send me the finished 8x version and i'll get back to you.

EDIT: I say try because my 8x BASIC skillz are far greater than my 68k BASIC skillz, but I'm not bad at 68k.

Well, all I'd need is ideas. I'm going to make it a text adventure (yes, I know, I can do better) but it makes the most sense, and it is going to be more of a story than a game. However, I might make a PC action-adventure version... that'd be sweet. Although I'd need graphics, so if you draw a pic of yourself or someone you'd like in the PC version, plz show me!

I am actually building my newest RPG to sort of copy a telnet game called Medievia. My game is called TI-City, in the 83+ basic section, for those that are interested...

That'd work too. Although it would look kinda funny, it would be great for dialouge scenes.

There ya go.

Once you're done with this game, you should make another: The Great Staff and Regulars Battle!

Using the avatars, of course.

Okay, I was working on a PC platforming game for this, and I'd like to mention that DSP's avatar makes a wicked neat looking boss character.

Z, if you don't mind, can I have the IP address of your old avatar, y'know, the guy with the really freaky eyes? I want to add it in.

If you ever come out with this game Jc, I WILL PORT IT TO THE TI-86 (Depending on size, the 85 too) This game sounds awesome, great storyline, great ideas. So, unless it's extremely processor-intensive and requires insane speed, or if TI 83+ BASIC is too hard to learn (i doubt it) I will promise (sort of) that I will port it to the 86 if you dont mind.

PS: And if you can, throw me in the storyline somewhere.

By the way, my avatar is the Deus Ex icon, and if you ever played it, the main character's name is JC, and the objective is to pretty much annihalate the corrupt people involved in the game. Coincidence? Maybe. If you haven't played, I suggest giving this a whirl:

Deus Ex demo

HOLY COW! THAT'S WEIRD!
And thanks for the compliment. People tell me I have such an imagination. Unforutunately, I have a short attention span, so I don't always get to write everything down...

lol, 83 basic is super easy and almost the same as the 86, I believe.

Me too, sometimes i lose my best ideas walking from my computer back across the house to get my calculator, that's why i started a planning sheet for my latest RPG, so i could remember everything. I even logged all the changes since version 0.01 (currently 0.62)
