I remember a lawsuit a while back about people using wireless internet that didn't belong to them.

EX: Your in your bedroom and receive your neighbors signal.

Does anybody remember what the verdict and details where?

Apparently it is unauthorized use of a network and youi could be arrested and prosecuted for it. This site has a good article about it. http://weblog.infoworld.com/techwatch/archives/005453.html

Blah blah blah. Unless your neighbor is an amateur sysadmin, they're never going ot find out.

I agree, and you would have to be a pretty mean person to sue someone over an internet connection.

I dunno. We had wireless awhile back and created a secure network. The problem was we had a "phantom" network, which turned out to be our original, unprotected network, which for some reason only ran at 50% efficiency, let alone still existing. Needless to say, we are now a cable network.
