Wow, Southern California is on fire today. I live in San Diego, and there's lots of fires, traffic jams, really really smoky too. If anybody happens to know where/what Scripps Ranch is, yeah, i heard 60-200 homes burned down.

I live in Ontario, much closer than spiral. Here it is sprinkling ash 24/7. The fire will be a week old on Tuesday. It is hardly contained and was caused by arsen. This is a very serious situation and we haven't seen much blue sky in the past 5 days. Today, the smoke is getting a little too thick and people might have some problems breathing. Check a new report about the fire (two actually merged) for more stats.

Actually, we have 3 fires in San Diego, some of my friends who live around 15-20 minutes drive away have been evacuated, so we are pretty close. However, our fire only really became of significance today, before that it was far away. Some of my friends say there's ash falling everywhere too. I think like 100,000 acres have been burned by the fires in san diego.

Good luck digital.

Why are you guys all jammed into CA? Here in MD absolutely nothing happens ever. No fires, no quakes and no hurricanes. Its so boring here :img14:.

I did not know that there were any fires in SD untill today. I found out about the fires here on day three. Since I get too school at 6 am and leave at 8:30 pm I don't hear anything. Z, this is nothing you want to be near. Luckily my house is not very near to the fire(s). Pray for us all. 10 people have died, 150+ thousand acres have burned, and the fire was only 5% contained last I heared.

Yay, this is one bad fire. I remember when FL was burning a few years ago, it was scary. I was on vacation driving to FL and it turned out to be during the fires. I didn't see any real fire, but several times I ran into some dense smoke. Anyway, I hope you guys do okay over there. I was kinda sarcastic btw, since I didn't know how bad it was. Sry 'bout that.

Well, I got let go from one of my classes by the teacher because of the air quality. Spiral should be just fine. Personally the arsonists should burn at the stake.

the fire isn't really that close to me, but the air quality is quite bad, yesterday the whole sky was yellow and fairly dark at 1-2.

TOday it seems a little better, but the sky is still very grey at a low altitude. Regardless, I heard school is cancelled for the week, and over the weekend many activities at public buildings are canceled.

I've been skimming the news on this, and this is definitely a bad thing. CA's economy is already bad, like they need to suffer through this, too!

Fires are pretty much out of the news already, just small articles now, it's nice not having to worry about having your house burned down.

Do you have any idea of how biased Fox news is? and how useless. They just pick 'entertainment' stories.
