EVERYONE go to impoll.calcgames.org and make a poll and put it in your AIM profile/info (or IM it to people or put it on a website).

i just randomly made it in half an hour so it's not complete, it works and it's a lot more simple than subprofile nonsense.

make a poll and tell all your friends to make a poll (the ads on the website itself are linked to calcgames.org so it'll help pay for hosting if it does well).

Lol B! This is cool. This is basically something I was planning to incorporate into our official poll but never really did. Nice work, well worth finishing if you ask me.

EDIT: Speaking of your poll in profile idea. Should I raise char limit a notch for that case or was it just a thought? If people will use your poll then I don't see a problem with adding a few hundred characters extra to a bio limit.

it's funny to note how the ads went on that.... the first ads i saw were humanitarian ads.... then it went to "website development" ads.... and at the current moment it's at computer game ads. (similar to the ones here)

EDIT reply to Z's edit.... oh i meant AIM profiles... but i suppose it could work in user's profiles as well. no need to raise the char limit cause there's shorter link code that links to the poll instead of displaying the poll itself.

ok when you create a poll, it gives you two sets of code, depending on what you want to display to the people looking at it.... here they are as an example:

How do you like IMPoll?

How do you like IMPoll?

simple... so it's not so good.
simple.... so i like it!
really good

Seems okay . . you could just use a poll service and put that into your profile . .

OIC B, I didn't think of AIM at that moment. Well, I guess ppl could use them anywhere where one can embed html code. How did you come across that idea anyway?

well i've always wanted to do stuff like this since 'subprofiles' came out... and you'd have to be a hardcore AIM user to really know what subprofiles are (i don't know anyone who has one anymore, but almost everyone who uses AIM regularly has had a subprofile at one point in their life)

some updates....

now one vote per IP address per poll.

you cannot create 2 polls from 1 IP address in the same 2 minutes. (ie you can only create a poll every 2 minutes... so it doesn't get abused).

HOPEFULLY there will be 100 polls per database file and then it will create a new file... there are currently 57 polls so it'll be a while until i can make sure this feature works (everyone create polls every 2 minutes!)

Lol, I never thought CalcFreak would beat you B on posts. Well, of course no one has beaten me yet... (not like I'm competing anyway).
Btw, I just got myself a copy of UT2K4. And am very pissed, the game itself is great but god, why did they have to put it on 6 CDs (yes, that is six as in S I X)? i thought it'd be on a DVD but when I opened the box my jaw dropped to the floor. to my knowledge its one of the largest games to date, it even beats the new Final Fantasy which comes on 5 CDs. Only Myst 3 Exile came on 7 CDs if I remember right and Metal Gear Solid : Substance came on a DVD but full installation was a whooping 8 gigs. Jeez! The game is awesome tho, I'm going to go play it right now.

EDIT: sry for being OT above. btw, poll #31 is funny. there r some other hilarious one but i won't mention them coz there are too many. :)

If you got the SE version you would have gotten a DVD. The Mac version is on a DVD.

lol, i was posting a bunch of polls on slashdot... several got a ton of votes. unfortunately most of the votes occured before i added the IP logger (i watched it and people refreshed it up to like 1000 votes and then it would wipe out the database (i fixed the wipeout problem as well, now it has the same protection that the file database has))

btw, i tested the 100 polls per file and it works!

i'm hoping that in the near future there will be dozens of files..

(so everyone! make polls, post them everywhere (especially AIM infos... those do well), and tell your friends to make them!)

SE version? i didn't see any SE version. still, there's no excuse to release the game on 6 CDs. with this games system specs those who play it should have a DVD drive, besides a DVD drive costs only about $30-50. my plextor drive is really fast so installation was still a breeze and faster that it would have been from a DVD but that disc swapping was sort of annoying. Once installed I only need to have one CD in the drive so it's okay. Btw D, you didn't have to mention macs there because its irrelevant...
