I've got to hand it to the Lakers. I didn't think they had it in them to come back from being down 2-0 in the series. That was a heck of a shot to win game 5. Some teams just seem to find ways to win those tough games. Anyways, this is your chance to bash me and tell me you told me so if you were picking the Lakers.

I've been going with the lakers all year, which is a first...

I think Malone and Payton deserve a ring, and this is probably their last chance to get one. After this year, kobe is more than likely going to leave the lakers, due to coaching differences.

If the Lakers can keep Payton from bolting and Malone and Shaq stay around, I think they'll be just fine. Kareem Rush is a capable SG and has put up decent numbers when he's had playing time. My opinion is probably a bit biased, but I saw Rush play three years at Mizzou and I think he has what it takes to be a solid NBA player. And besides, Rush won't bicker constantly with Shaq. Kobe's been a distraction, and having such a dominant center opens things up for guards like him. Maybe it's better for him and the Lakers if he moves on. I just believe if the Lakers can keep the rest of that team together, they'll be just fine.

If Shaq keeps in shape during the off-season, the lakers would improve greatly, but he never does. Never the less, the Lakers will still be good after this season, but not quite as good, however, their bench is also quite good, and in a couple of years, they should be a really, really, good team again.
