If this is true, I cannot wait for it. I doubt any future PS will have anything near this powerful system.

Its one cpu with three cores. This is a rather old scheme and no one knows what has changed and whether or not it will sport all these parts or not by its release q1 2006. So far, the stuff in xbox2 diagram doesn't even exist but a whole year and half will give technology enough room to spawn many new gadgets so who knows, maybe it'll actually be something worth looking at. lets rather discuss consoles that are almost at the door such as Sony PSP(q1 2005) and Nintendo DS (christmas 2004). Anyone interested in those two or have comments and stuff?

For some reason, i have no interest in the PSP. Looks too expensive and a little ugly for my taste. I do like the N-DS though, i love things that are different. Besides, I'm a Nintendo fan! And, um, Animal Crossing looks great. And so does metroid. that should be all i need.

N-DS looks a bunch better since they restyled it, but the clamshell design just isn't too great looking imo. On the other hand the PSP looks massive and the battery life will be questionable.

appearently, the playstation 3 is supposed to be coming out late 2005 or early 2006. i think that the nintendo ds is kind of big. the playstation pocket looks cool, ugly colour, but i don't mind the small screen. i probably won't end up buying either, because i really like retro games, especially ones for the nes and the snes. i got a sega saturn on wednesday, but it didn't come with any games. my dad has an ebay account, and i got him to bid on mega man 8 for me, he decided to wait until there was only a couple of seconds left, then he would bid. of course with him typing with one finger he lost the auction and i was pi$$ed. so i decided to bid on some other stuff including a super famicom, and super mario rpg. my dad had no idea that he was still logged in after he placed his bid. haha! this is quite dumb because none of this is really related in any way.

i have mm8 on ps1.

N-DS comes with wireless connection (and works well in "hotspots" for 'online'), free picto chat, uses rechargable batteries that live for 10 hrs, and costs only 150. PSP.. well, looks funky and plays mp3s. :)

Well, speaking of size PSP is waay smaller than DS. Although DS concept is very innovative in mobile gaming, it isn't particualarly stylish either. Hearing the promised specs for PSP battery life is indeed a question but it should definitely put out at least 3-4 hours of play and more for music or movie playback. Graphically it would probably somewhat compare to a hi-end pocket pc so rough guess about 4 or so hours of playtime could be true. I do agree that $300 price tag is a bit rough but what do you expect from a gadge and especially something Sony made? As I probably won't spend money on PSP either, I will certainly try to check it out as it arrives on US market. Btw, PS3 is projected to late 2006 and not 2005. Even xbox 2 which is supposed to come out way before PS3 is to be out by the end of 2005 or early 2006. The promised technology for the two consoles isn't even available on the market so you shouldn't worry about the two coming out 2005.

There is also going to be a "Nintendo Revolution", which is rumored to use a gyroscope feature.
