Speaking of video games:
Z, I saw in your profile that you have an N-Gage. Is that right? Cuz I've never met a person who actually bothered to buy one.

Yup, I've got the first-gen N-Gage. This thing is actually really awesome. Don't listen to these peeps who says it sucks, they just don't have or can't afford one. Personally, I've only seen two other people have one, everyone else says "what is this thing?" when they see me use it or talk on it. Pretty funny I say. I do have a BT wireless headset but I do talk on it w/t it as well and I don't care if it may look weird. Btw, its much better than QD because QD is basically a stripped down N-Gage. While it has a hot swap card slot, it matters little to me since I have all my games on one MMC card so I don't even need to swap. I've got some of my favorite games on it (Sonic, Rayman, Doom, Crash Nitro Kart and a few others.) I might get Elders Scrolls game for it sometime, it looks like a nice game. Or ehem, maybe a NDS if any good games come out for it. Right now I'd only play Mario on it (i'm not including GBA games).

Talking on an Ngage is called sidetalking. :)
I've tried one in stores. It was hilarious watching me try to figure out which buttons did things. Even worse was watching me try to play Donkey Konga on display, it turned out the bongos weren't on...
DS is very good. I got one the day it came out, breaking my "I'm not that serious of a gamer" rule. Mario 64 is really fun, although a bit short... When it gets internet access, I'll be really happy.

I've got a couple friends with N-Gages... they look pretty funny to me. though, it seems pretty sweet to beable to put real songs on there and such.. .not just crappy ring tones. i'm the kind of guy that just gets the free phones whenever i renew my phone contract... i'm in no need for some fancy phone... i'd rather put the money someplace else. i like smaller phones personally. nokias are my phone of choise. i just got a new .... 3000 somethin or other... i forget the numbers... has color and internet but like... at a cent per kb... that ads up real quick. maybe when i got a real job that makes more than minimum wage i'd think about buying a nicer phone and using features like that. fornow, in my shoes, the N-Gage looks like one of those original gameboys, like a brick. It's pretty cool that technology has come this far. but seeing as i use my phone mainly to talk to people (go figure) i just like my small nokia =D

The new N-gage (the QD) doesn't "feature" sidetalking. Also you can use a bluetooth (or wired) headset to talk on it. Some on-gage games are pretty cool, like super monkey ball, tony hawk, sonic, crash nitro kart, but a lot (like sonic) are limited by the screen orientation. Mario 64 looks ok, but I heard the controls leave a bit to be desired.

My phone is a Nokia 6600, so smartphone like N-Gage. It's fat, but has awesome games and the internet access is pretty decent (but I need to set up a proxy to load html now that T-mobile changed stuff)

I'm probably goign to go to Hong Kong in feb and pick up a PSP while I'm there (unless the reviews all announce its horrible). Otherwise I can't resist Dynasty Warriors, Ridge Racers, and the such.

Yeah spiral, I agree with you man. Mario64 DS is pretty good, I do admit that controls do take some time to get used to.
Speaking of PSP, its going to be really cool but I'm still kinda skeptic about the price. Not only all Sony stuff is overpriced but this is a new gadget so it ought to have a pretty good price tag esp. when they first come out and hard to find. Anyway, I'm eager to see what the little device will be able to do (we all know it'll push much better gfx than DS but we're still yet to see how good the games will come out).

Once you get used to em, they work really well. Actually, I found them very easy to adapt to, and they certainly work better in the sliding areas.

~$200 is the announced Japanese price. The ones that were auctioned off for earthquake victims sold for 500-couple thousand US. Lots of people wanted to try to get it first.

An analog definately would have worked better. But Nintendo makes too many ports, which is a annoying.
