You're right. We'll have to change that by posting more!

Why not just have it show some posts? I preferred it that way.

Same here. The show/hide thing is OK, but it should be disabled by default.

Is the topic list supposed to be all over on the right? It leaves a good amount of blank space...

Ok, several solutions.

1.) get a bigger monitor.
2.) use calcg.org instead of calcgames.org
3.) we can remove the part that says who started each topic... that would actually help quite a bit... but many times I want to know who started each topic... we could also just put that as hover text for each topic.

I made the topics a lot smaller... and i put the topics/stars in a cool little table so it'll look better when it goes on 2 or 3 different lines.

The current way looks a lot nice but the bolded and highlighted topics mess up.

Well, if you look at the source, there is nothing telling it to do that. That's an error in Opera. I'm guessing the reason is that it spaced the next line based on the text size of the small letters, but it forgot that the size of the background "span" is the same as for the larger letters.

Speaking of errors, when I look at the page, all the tiny letters are black. This is on a dark blue background, so needless to say it's hard to read.

The only letters that are black are the General Discussion Board at the top. All others appear to be fine

Browser is FF 2.Something
And I am on Calcg.org

I tried to put a link in my sig but it didn't work. Can you enable links in sigs?

Another good sig idea is the ability to use [Enter] in your sigs.

I wouldn't like it if people could put images or links or linebreaks in their signature. That's one of the annoyances of a phpBB forum over this one.

I just wanted it to be easier on the user who wants to go there by letting them click, rather than all the bother about cutting-and-pasting the address in their browser bar.

I don't think a break would be that bad; however there should be a limit.

Example:

Good Sig:
This is a good signature.
It only has one break and doesn't take up the screen.

Bad Sig:
This is bad.

And very annoying.

Well there is my 2 cents

I think there should be an <hr> between the post and the signature. Would make it easier to keep the content of the two seperate.

Well, yeah, this site didn't exist. D-uuuuh.

Edit: Oh, you mean original calcgames. Uh, nope, I definitely remember multi-line sigs around the time I started using the forums.

At least, it was something we had then that we don't now, other than emoticons... *cough cough*

What are you talking about? You couldn't use linebreaks in sigs. You could use HTML in posts, but sigs were limited length plain text only.

My mistake. 3fg: I thought that you where talking about the sigs in your last post, I didn't fully read it. I knew that HTML was allowed in posts, and I never tried to use it in my sig so I didn't know that it wasn't allowed.
Sorry My mistake.

I don't like that when you edit a comment on a multi-page topic, it takes you back to page one no matter what, rather than the page your edited post is on.

Good some topics needed to be locked,
I like what you or whoever did with the sigs. It looks good.
Got a bit confused on the home page though because the login form is on the other side of the screen, but it's all good.

I like it keep up the good work.

In my opinion, that's a big improvement. This way, people can't as easily forget which topics are still being discussed. It also allows for a few more pages of topics, since users no longer have to scan through each one to see things.
