I've got a problem with my TI-83+ calculator.

I think that it can't calculate sin right...

When i type exactly: "sin | 90 | enter"
it says exactly:".8939966636"
i think it should say exactly: "1"

What is wrong?

And if i have to do anything with the software, please explain every detail i have to do, because i don't know very much about this stuff.

i don't knwo what all those symbols are. Make sure you're not in radians when you're suppose to be in degrees or vice versa though.

Hmm...those symbles are very odd...

But yah, you're probably in the wrong mode. If you press the 'mode key', you can switch between radians and degrees.

You want to make sure you're in degree mode, not radian...

| in HTML would be the escape sequence to generate |, but | doesn't make sense in terms of typing that into the calculator either.
