Sorry if these seem like stupid questions, my mind is still quite lazy from being on vacation. :img30:

When an app is created (with BasicBuilder), does it automatically support lowercase lettering, or does the calc need to have OmniCalc or some lowercase letter support?

Also, using the same method, can this app access/use pics (Pic0, Pic1, etc...as in basic graphing lines and shapes and stuff, not real fancy images) as long as it has the proper commands, or do they still have to be manually created in the program/app?

I think it automatically supports lowercase lettering . . . at least, it should. I also do beleive that the pictures can be accessed as long as they are with/in the app.

Read the documtation, I believe that the app requires a different command on the program to support pictures, the pics are actually enbedded in the app. I also believe, but I'm not sure, but it might support more than 10 pictures.

And lowercase is embedded in the OS of the calc, programs like onmicalc/mirageOS only let the user type in the lowercase. Any program that already has lowercase doesn't require any additional software to view on the calc.

:eek_a: Um...forgot about the automatic lowercase letter support in the first place. At least that'll save me time converting...a bit too late, but good for future reference. I was beginning to think that, though...after the fact.
So the pics have to be "one with the app" and not come separate...okie dokie, I can do that.
I was asking because of my new MathPro reference program I uploaded...er, sent in, rather. It draws shapes and things, and since it's bigger than 16384 bytes, I was thinking of converting it to an app. The drawings were taking a bit too long so I was thinking of putting pics in to eliminate the waiting.
Thanks!

BasicBuilder can only make a app 1 app space (16384 bytes). But it does have a compresser, but your large program+pics might present a problem.

So you're saying that if a program's bigger than 16384 bytes it won't work (without the compressor)? Hmph...so much for cheating the RAM system. :img12:

No, run the program thorough BasicBuilder, because it usually shrinks the program 50% or more...BasicBuilder Compresses the program...

Yeah, you should be able to fit about 30kb because it compresses. Still, would be nice to have more than one page available.

Ok, phew...now I actually gotta go try it out. I've noticed the program is real slow (although my memory is nearly full), and pics would not only speed it up, but probably make the program a bit smaller as well.
Thanks!
