My question is, why did you pick your particular user name/handle/screen name for this site and what is the reasoning behind your avatar.

As for myself, I prefer "Digital" simply because I can see the potential for electronics in the fututre and try to embrace the fact that they can help enhance and improve one's life. For my avatar I have the Knight on the chess because it is my favorite game. The edited screen shot of Tankers 68K highlighted selected in TICT explorer because it was the first game that got my excited about what the calculator could actually do, and the momentum ball from my desktop wallpaper since I think it looks cool. BTW if anyone wants a copy of the tankers screen or the momentum ball for a wallpaper, e-mail me with the size of your screen.

I have used allynfolksjr since about 3rd grade, and I guess I never have changed it.

the avatar, well, it's a TCU 'horned frog' I just like the idea of a college with the mascot of a 'horned frog.' www.gofrogs.com

Spiral because math has always been nice to me. I first used it as a name for my Utopia province, then my Avatar (a game) name, and i just always use it.

The avatar I use because it's Gillian Chung's Chinese New Year's picture, and I thought she looked way better than she usually does.

Um, mine's a tad generic...I got it from Alpha Centauri in 7th grade or so and have always used it since (except when it's taken, then I add numbers).

screenname just happened to be so back from prehistoric time (that is 5.5 years ago...). to tell the truth, i wanted kostik but it obviously was already taken (kostik is a frineldy name for konstantin in russia). the letter 'z' was added most likely because of my influence with assembly programs on 83 back then, coz they usually has z in from of them so that they always go to the back of the list since they required a loader.
avatar is just a random thing. something that i like and thought looked cool. that's about it.

I actually first registered here as Bill, but forgot my password, and I think I did not have give a real e-mail adress so I was unable to retrieve it back. A week or so later I re-registered as Billy. And here I am. I chose it because it's my first name, easy to remember. And I just find my avatar entertaining, clever, and hilarious. That's why I have it. Someday I may change it, but I'm pretty lazy, and been really busy lately!
Usually on forum boards I use a different identinty than Billy, but here's just different I suppose.

I never really like when people take a common object and add numbers to the end, not original enough imo.

Well, as for myself, "BullFrog" is just a nickname I've had since I was four or so. My real name being Jeremiah, and also the song by Three Dog Night (Joy to the World if I remember right), people just kind of gave it to me. I didn't actually start using it until 4th grade, and it literally replaced my name in 5th grade. 6th on up, it pretty much reverted to being a nickname.

My avatar. I think the F-22 is awesome. That's pretty much it...

I like the turn out of this. Thanks for participating. I actually asked this because I wanted to know how Z got his name since zkostik didn't look like a derivative of Konstantin.

BF, that is pretty hilarious escpecially since I like that song. I would lol but I'm in a library...

Perfect Dark was my reason. I was starting a new game and needed a quick name. I made it sHARD, but when I got to a computer it was too boring....so it became sHARD>> (its pronouced "shard" by the way, not "s. hard"...which sounds like a porn star name in a way...)

thank you sHARD for the graphic description

Anyways,
Screen names (for me at least) have always been a nickname given to me by friends, and this one is an especially long story (ask if u want a post) and usually they should reference/distinguish u somehow. as should your avatar. seeing as avatar means "a variant phase or version of a continuing basic entity"

I started using this handle because it's the name of my programming group, of whom I'm the only one active in the community. I started using it when I first registered at ticalc.org one year ago. My avatra I first started using becasue I thought it reflected my personaltiy, cool, calm, and rational. I started using it when I first joined the Maxcoderz board in August.

Looks like a football player's eye. You see parts of the helmet, and the shadow casted from it.
