Am I allowed to use the 84+ on New York State Regents and other State tests? Thanks.

Try a google search for the tests....I'm sure they'd have a website explaining all that stuff.

Usually 83/84 and other calculators w/t QWERTY keyboard would be accepted. However, your calculator's memory will have to be reset. Like allyn suggested, finding the official website of testing dpartment and reading their rules would be the best thing to do.

EDIT: Well, from a quick search it seems that calcs are allowed at least on the math exam. I didn't see a list of calcs that aren't allowed but seeing that 83/84 are not a school standard calc I take it should be allowed on the test. The memory will be cleared by your proctor though, just like on SAT and other tests of that sort.

never had my memory cleared. Only once did a teacher check for any math-related programs, and clearing wasn't even required.

@#%$!!! your memory??? crap there goes my chance at passing math...

Lol j/k. I'll proberbly just use the calculaters that are available in the room for the tests, that'll save me a headache...

P.S. Can you "back-up" your calc's memory on your computer?

There are also sweet little progs called "fake memory reset" which simulate the memory menu and then reset of the calc but don't actually clear its memory. Some better ones will even simulate program menu and stuff after a fake reset but if you turn calc off and back on your progs will come back. Due to TI plocies we can't host this kind of programs but you can search ticalc.org and find one there.

TI made the archive sites take down the fake memory reset programs? Good for them!
