Hey everyone, I just registered and just got into this whole game thing on my calc. Anyways, I have no problem with unzipping any of the games on my computer. It's the sending them to my device that is the problem. Everytime I do, an error pops up that says this variable is not valid. And then it gives me the choice of Renaming it, skipping or canceling. I've tried renaming it but that didn't work then I tried skipping and that didn't work. I've only tried to download the mario games, so i'm not sure if it is the games or my calc or my computer. I've downloaded games off my computer just a little bit ago and it worked out fine. Well anyways, if someone could help, that would be awesome. THANX!!!
OH yeah my calc is a Silver Edition if that's needed.

Sounds like you may be sending the wrong kind of files to your calc. You only need to send files with extensions such as:
.8xp -- programs
.8xg -- grouped files
.8xk -- apps

There can also be newer extensions for 84 series only but all 83+ programs should run on 84 series of calcs. Anyway, make sure you're only sending the above files and also make sure your calc is turned on and at home screen when you attempt to send something. If you are doing everything above and still get that error, please post back and we'll go into investigating the problem. You might also want to have a look at the visual FAQ to make sure you're doing everything right. You can see if by going here: http://www.calcgames.org/faqs/ti83p_basics/

Good luck!

Ok I looked at the stuff that you told me about and it is all what you said it was. I downloaded Mirage OS and it worked with some games. Then I tried playing a mario game and it wasn't in mirage and also it says that I need Mario83+ 1.2 shell on the download page on this site. I don't know where that is and I looked in the programs list and it wasn't there. If you could help me.
Thanx!
