So, I've been looking around, and I've been seeing hints that your calculator can play sound files? :O

Is this true? And if so, is there any special program/application/etc. that you need to run it?

Man, that'd be sweet, just to be sitting in class, then have your calculator play music and the teacher getting all confused about how a calculator can play music... :P

ADDED: I found CalcMod 2.2, and a couple songs, and when I run it, no sound comes out - what am I missing?

Yes, you can get your calculator to play sound, you can either get a 2.5mm->3.5mm converter (so you can plug headphones/speakers into the link port), or make your own speaker using a phizo, instructions can be found somewhere online.

Woohoo, thanks. :P

Math class == tobeowned_by_me ^^

New problem - When I upload sound files, it says:

"USB communication error: The operating system on the device does not support the version of the variable being sent (8C080030)"

^Same happens when I try to send the mario level "Nagel" or the default Orunzoid level... Is it a setting I have on my calculator?

Mhmm, but I looked at the code and it says TI83F already. Still won't work.

Also - Now, when I try to send it to my calculator, it says that the device is not plugged in, and even though it IS plugged in and on, it won't work. I can send any other type of normal file though.

Added again - Now it says "Access Denied" whenever I try to send most files to my calculator.

Gah.

You get the access denied error when you

a) breathe
b)don't breathe
c)all of the above

It is stupid.

Well, it'll say "Access Denied" twice, and when I retry it again, it says "Device is not recognizable."
