my ti 89 os 2.09 and hw 2.00

std dev and variance results are not correct as they should be and answers are off by anywhere from 5 to 15 and even more sometimes why should it not give me correct answer?

how can i solve problem ?

I don't know. You can make a program/function to calculate them yourself. Variance(σ2)μ where μ is the sample mean (x with a bar over it usually signifies this, i know, but they didn't have an html character for that that I could find), x represents an individual statistic, and n is the number of statistics is:
(Σ(μ - xi)2) / n

Standard deviation is the √(Variance).

Try resetting all your settings to factory default and then try again.
