File Description:  This is an awesome implementation of a classic Asteroids game. I don't remember from what platform this game originated, but its pretty old. This game features everything from the NES version, which includes multiple difficulty levels, store, 360 degree ship rotation and much much more. This is a very fun game and is a good timewaster :) It's hard to describe it in a few sentences, so just download it and see for yourself. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, this game only runs of 83+ and not on regular 83, but hopefully the author will port it someday.

This version should work with the USB link.

Very few calculator games can even begin to imitate an arcade game. Asteroids accomplishes this, and much more. Not only is Asteroids an impressive game, it is also an EXTREMEMLY good emulation of the Asteroids arcade game.

Asteroids' graphics are some of the best I've seen. They stay true to the arcade game and they are concise and sharp, without wasting a lot of memory. The actual "asteroids" in the game look like real asteroids and the items you can pick up (money symbols, hearts, etc.) are very relevant to their cause.

This game is very playable. I was impressed by the game's options, which include difficulty settings and a choice between a regular game or an enhanced version of the game. Asteroids is very user-friendly and encourages the user to continue playing the game thanks to a list of high scores.

Once you download this game, I guarantee you will keep it on your calculator AT LEAST a month. Its been on mine for at least that now, and I'm certainly not planning on taking it off. You will want to play this game again and again. It's just a very addictive game.

Now, there are some problems. The controls are a little hard to get used to at first and the levels get monotonous after awhile. Other than that, though, the level interface, the title screen, and the shop interface are all beautiful.

Asteroids is a truly amazing game. It is well coded, well drawn, and well planned. Very few calculator games, based on arcade games or console/PC games are ever as well done or popular as this. I highly recommend this game and urge you to download it!

Graphics/Interface: 10/10 Just like the old days.
Playability/Usability: 9/10 Very FUN!!
Replay Value/Reuse Value: 10/10 Can play all day.
Controls/Interface: 6/10 Definately could be better.
Overall Value: 9/10 In the end, this is one good game.

The ability to choose whether or not to play the new version, or the old version alone is outstanding. The upgrades are on a "not all at once basis", making for a "level up" type gameplay. Finally, the gravitaional munipulation is (for lack of a better phrase (not much rest)) "such to play for hours and still not be terribly better at it". David.

Replay Value/Reuse Value: 6/10 Over 100 levels that go on and on and on and on.
Controls/Interface: 9/10

Overall a good game. A bit difficult until you get some upgrades. After that its level after level. Eventually it resets your upgrades and you can't buy them anymore. Then its kamakazi into the astroids until you can't take it anymore

Fun and worth a download

Graphics/Interface: 9/10 betterthan most games
Playability/Usability: 8/10 similar to the original arcade
Replay Value/Reuse Value: 7/10 over 100 repetative levels
Controls/Interface: 8/10 controls are simple
Overall Value: 8/10 worth a download

Comments:
This version of Asteroids is fun but very repetative. It actually gets easier as you progress through the game due to overpowered power-ups, but it starts out as a challenge. This game is great for people who have played the arcade and want something a bit different. You should download this game, even if you hate the original (the arcade).

Graphics/Interface: 10/10 Very Good Graphics
Playability/Usability: 9/10 Ship Store Nice
Replay Value/Reuse Value: 6/10 It gets repetive
Controls/Interface: 9/10 No problems here
Overall Value: 8/10 Good

Comments:
This is the best asteroid game for the calc, (well, it's the only one i've seen). IT has great graphics and the store to upgrade you ship is a very nice touch. However, after getting max. upgrades it gets too easy and it gets rather boring when you get to about level 70 or so. Other than that, it's good.
